Compare mood and sleep entries

Add up to seven sleep-and-next-day-mood entries. The summary reports averages and side-by-side groups without claiming that one caused the other.

Add one sleep and next-day mood entry

This is a descriptive comparison, not a sleep recommendation or evidence that sleep caused a mood.

Current-page entries

Up to seven dates; adding the same date replaces it.

Add a date to begin the side-by-side record.

Place sleep and mood beside each other

A sleep and mood diary can make separate memories easier to compare. This lightweight tracker records sleep duration, a self-rated sleep quality, and the mood selected for the following day.

The summary is deliberately descriptive. A small set of entries cannot prove that sleep changed a mood, and many unrecorded circumstances may also matter.

How to use this free tool

  1. Enter a date, sleep duration, and sleep quality.
  2. Choose the next day's broad mood rating.
  3. Add up to seven rows for a small comparison.
  4. Read the averages as observations, not causes or predictions.

What appeared together is not necessarily what caused it

Use the table to form a question you may want to observe again. The tool does not assess sleep health, mood conditions, or whether a particular amount of sleep is right for you.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tracker tell me how much sleep I need?
No. It records the hours and ratings you enter and does not provide a sleep recommendation or health assessment.
Can it prove that sleep caused my mood?
No. The summary only places your entries side by side. It cannot establish cause, rule out other context, or predict a future mood.
Are mood and sleep entries stored?
No. This comparison lasts only in the current page and clears on reload.
